Trip Manager - Multiple Locations (Remote)

We are looking to fill multiple positions for the Regional Trip Manager role. Trip Managers work closely with the Account Management team on the planning and execution of assigned trips. Your responsibility will be to own the relationship with local partners and the associated itineraries for your assigned destinations and trips. By being the liaison between the Account Manager and the local partner, the Trip Manager works to balance itinerary needs, costs, and quality of experience. Your goal will be to ensure a smooth trip process from pre-trip tasks to on-trip logistics. 


This role is part-time and fluctuates based on the demand for trips to your assigned destinations.


Responsibilities:


Pre-Trip

  • Manage communication with local partner regarding itinerary requests, trip launches, payment deadlines, etc.

  • Handle inbound customer questions and concerns regarding your assigned launched and confirmed trips

  • Work with trip host to plan and finalize details for activities/workshops

  • Work with local partner to make necessary reservations and bookings in advance

  • Draft and finalize itinerary with help of partner

  • Manage pre-trip traveler communications and supervise Facebook group page

On-Trip

  • Arrive early to destination for preparation purposes and to intercept incoming travelers

  • Oversee logistical operations while on trip with the help of the local partner

  • Work with local guide to confirm all reservations and activities on a daily basis

  • Provide ongoing communication to the group about the itinerary and activities

  • Serve as point of contact for the host, the local guide, the travelers, and HQ throughout the duration of the trip


Requirements:

  • A passion for travel & learning - you’ll be doing a ton of both!

  • Professionalism at all times - you will be the face of TrovaTrip to hosts, partners and travelers. You must always be mature and responsible.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - make sure people feel safe, supported and are having fun!

  • Great organizational skills - there are a lot of moving pieces in this role.

  • Integrity and a commitment to excellence - these trips are once-in-a-lifetime for our travelers, so it is essential to make sure they run as such.

  • Ability to problem solve - when it comes to travel, things can and will go wrong to some degree. Your ability to resolve conflict, stay calm, and brainstorm on the fly is essential.

  • An open mind - you will be dealing with people from all over the world and from all walks of life. 


Preferred qualifications:

  • Based in the destination you are applying for

  • Ability to cover multiple locations

  • Fluency in local language

  • Understanding of country’s customs, culture, etc.

  • Background in tourism and trip management
